David A Pearce heads the leading lab in Juvenile Neuronal Ceroid Lipofuscinosis (Batten disease) research at Sanford Health. He has been researching Batten disease since 1997. His research has led to the first clinical trial for Juvenile Batten disease and has published over 100 research papers. He also oversees a national registry for rare diseases known as the Coordination of Rare Diseases at Sanford (CoRDS). He has organized rare disease workshops for the National Institute for Neurological Disorders and stroke arm of the National Institutes of Health and is currently a member of the executive committee for the International Rare Diseases Research Consortium (IRDiRC). In his role as President of Research at Sanford, he is responsible for overseeing the development of research programs across Sanford’s nine-state footprint, including more than 250 researchers, eight research centers and more than 300 ongoing clinical trials

Dr. Mangum is a leader in pediatric clinical pharmacology and drug development. He has been instrumental in developing multiple compounds for the care of children worldwide. His expertise is in neonatal pharmacology where he has excelled in understanding the pharmacology and pathophysiology of disease in the most vulnerable patients, the neonate. He also has served as an academic with appointments in the Schools of Medicine at Duke University and University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill as Associate Clinical Professor, Clinical Pharmacology and Associate Clinical Professor, Pediatrics. He is a graduate of The Medical University of South Carolina where he received his Doctorate in Pharmacy with special thesis emphasis on neonatal/pediatric pharmacology. Currently, Dr. Mangum is a co-founder and CEO of a pediatric CRO, Paidion Research, Inc., dedicated to the excellence in pediatric clinical research.

Janett Jalil obtained her Medical Doctor degree at the Medical Sciences Institute Carlos J. Finlay in Camaguey Cuba at the age of 27. Dr. Jalil completed her residency program in Internal Medicine at the same university three years later. She is the owner and director of School of Clinical Research USA, LLC, a clinical research site founded in 2010 to conduct industry sponsored clinical research trials and to promote community awareness about clinical research. Most recently, she was invited as an International Jury Member for the European division of the Videomed 2016 medical education media competition

Dr. Jalil conducted a statistical analysis and disease progression study in patients with myotonic dystrophy as her Internal Medicine thesis dissertation. Furthermore, as an associate Internist at Oncological Hospital Marie Curie, she conducted clinical research on the applications of traditional medicine therapies in cancer patients

Khalid Abou Farha is medical director and clinical pharmacologist of Celeron he brings 15 years of clinical research experience to this role, spanning a wide range of therapeutic areas, with a particular focus in oncology, vaccines, cancer immunotherapy, personalized medicine and autoimmune disorders. Dr. Sherry Bradford attended undergraduate school at SUNY at Buffalo and was awarded a full tuition scholarship to pursue her PhD graduate degree (Biochemistry) from the University of Buffalo/ Roswell Park Cancer Institute Division of SUNY at Buffalo School of Medical and Biomedical Sciences. During her clinical laboratory vocation, she was solicited by the Chief of Surgery at Millard Fillmore Hospital, Buffalo, NY, to direct the Surgical Research laboratory. There she successfully led the research on the use of human micro vascular umbilical cord endothelium for lining stents. It was while Sherry was at Millard Fillmore Hospital, that she was awarded the “1st Place - Award for Excellence in Research” from the American Federation for Clinical Research In 1997, Dr. Bradford was approached by the Department of Pharmacokinetics, at Millard Fillmore Hospital, to lead their newly formed Pharmacokinetics Oncology Department. As the Principal Investigator, she was charged with the responsibility to develop an in vitro chemo sensitivity test on tumor cells using the flow cytometer. In 2008, Dr Bradford and colleagues form AccuTheranostics and the idea on Oncology Personalized Medicine based on the specific patient’s own biochemical and genetic profile to administer Personalized treatment regimens.Currently, Dr. Bradford sits on the EDITORIAL BOARD of the International Journal of Medical and Health Sciences Research; commence on July 20 2014; and on the EDITORIAL BOARD of Insights in Cancer Research, and has authored and co-authored a number of scientific peer-reviewed manuscripts.She is also a member of many professional organizations including (but not limited to): International Metabolic Cancer Group, AACR, ASCO, and GLIFCA.

Weidong Le, M.D., Ph.D., is a neurologist/scientist with a major research interest in neurodegenerative disorders including Parkinson’s disease, Alzheimer’s disease and ALS. He graduated from Shanghai 2nd Medical University with a doctoral degree in 1988, and received postdoctoral training at Dr. Stanley Appel’s laboratory from 1989-1991. He was promoted to Professor of Neurology in 2005 at Baylor College of Medicine, and since 2013 he has been appointed as the Director of Center for Translational Research on Neurological Diseases, and Vice President of 1st Affiliated Hospital, Dalian Medical University. He is a full affiliate member of Houston Methodist Research Institute. He has published over 200 SCI papers in peer review journals and 7 scientific books, and serves as board member or associate editor for 8 international journals.
